Alloy conundrum!

Hi all, I'm new to the group so this will be my first post.
I need to do something with my 18" Diamond Cut alloys (OEM) on my FR. As much as I'd like to get them refurbed I was toying with the idea of getting them powder coated black or grey so they're more durable.
I'd appreciate any feedback, maybe someone on here has already done this. I've attached a picture of the a rear wheel, the front ones don't look as good.

I’d either go with a powder coat that’s a similar colour to the existing wheel finish or a shade darker. I‘m personally not a fan of black alloys as IMHO they always look dirty unless they’ve just been washed, and you also tend to ‘lose‘ the design details of the wheel unless you’re close up to the car. Black alloys can also create the illusion of the tyres being a dirty brown-ish grey colour.

Cheers for that opinion SRGTD. I've actually done just that. I've booked to get them powder coated in a slightly darker grey, I'm with you on the black wheels, they've never quite sat right with me and I think in some cases not all, they cheapen the look of the car.,
