All revs and no go - Clutch?

On way home from work . went to overtake a car and all i got was revvs and no go !
Im guessing clutch ? already had my slave cylinder replaced about a year ago...
and i got 60k no so its gota be clutch right ?
Add to that my top mounts have perished and ive got the most annoying knocking sound ever from the front !

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ! just what i need before xmas !

sounds like its slipping mate! do the revs fly up rly quick? and does it only do it in certaion gears or all?

Right it went in garage today ...

clutch it is . and also need the top of the suspension changing as the rubbers have perished . and new pads ! total cost ... £850

But a better and stiff car you will have, you just getting the OEM clutch?

A slipping clutch is what made me finally give up on my escort and by the Leon lol.

Could fix it but am too lazy to, have already changed the damn thing twice, last time being about 30K ago so shouldnt be worn out yet, but taking the box out again was too much to bear lol, so shes finally going once I get round to it.

Hefty bill on the clutch supercuprar, especially for this time of year aint it, shame its one of them things that you can't make do with for a while.

Yeah talk about bad timing ! plus i sheled out another £150 for ahire car so i can get to work wwhile garage have it ! Merry blooming christmas !

Should be good as new when it comes back though . also i was told i will need new discs next time i replace pads.. anyone recomend somewhere cheap to buy then and or some recomendations on OEM or grooved drilled etc ....

Yeah just a straight repacement , the one on there has done 60k so they must be ok !
