Hello team,
Merry Christmas to all and amazing new upcoming year ...
Very glad I've found the forum. Vast knowledgebased with pretty nice structure.
Our family recently purchased "something" bigger - Alhambra 03', 2.0 petrol, 115 hp ( switching from Toyota Yaris 2004 ) ... We've got it in the summer - glad with the purchse. Comfy, spacious, child and 2 dogs + everything you can imagine wife could put in the car ( I'm waiting the moment, she'll tell me that Alhy space is not enough - it was understandable with the Yaris, but now ) ...
As autumn approached us, rains started. Couple of monghts ago, we've noticed passengers footwell were a little bit wet. I've thought we've put in the car - shoes, etc. But, last month, since we're having rain + snow more oftenly due to the season, the footwell was soak ... I don't have much experience and was not able to dismantle the center console in order to put the carpet out, so cut the passengers side carpet with all the insulation below - it was soaked - not a chance to dry ( pics: D, E below ).
I've searched for possible culprit of the leak and got couple of main points:
a) main drainages clogged ( piled over the years - leafs, debress, etc. ) - under front windshield ( somewhere behind the wiper motors, on both sided of the car );
b) clogged sunroof drainage pipes ( again, leafs, debrees ... );
c) front windshield gasket damaged;
d) incorrectly placed pollen filter;
e) clogged door drainage holes ( again, leafs, debrees ... ).
Honestly, what I thougth I would be able to check are: a) the main draiange holes; c) windshield gasket - at least take a closer look; e) door drainage holes.
Well:
- a) main drainage holes - that seemed to me as the most probable culprit. But, I was not able to find those drainages. Either I'm looking at the wrong place, or I just can't manage my way to them in order check the situation. Is there a way for somebody to guide me ( pictures, in written only ) where are those located - ( pics: A, B, C below ) ? Where those drainages are ending - under the wheel arch somewhere ? Could I check from there with something long and flexible - puch all the way to the entrance of the drainages ?
- b) sunroof drainage pipes - don't have a clue what to do/check here;
- c) front windshield gasket - at first glance no cracks or damages. There is a test I've found in another forum but haven't done yet - put pressurized air inside out over the whole windshiled perimeter - if any bubbles popup on the outside , then it is a supposedly possible place for leaking;
- d) pollen filter - the filter was replaced recently and from what I've read, improper placement could lead to a leaks. But, still was not able to check the positioning and re-fit it. It seems pretty hard place to work in;
- e) door drainage holes - I've found only two per door, bottom front and back side of the doors ( in comparison with much more holes in YouTube videos I've found ) - both holes were pretty clean;
I do realize this must have been discussed subject over the years, but was not able to find a discussion adressing those exactly ( and sorry, if there is a forum discussion I've missed ).
Attaching couple of pictures of Alhy, for better understanding where "I'm standing" for the moment ...
Couple of pictures:

D) ( it's dry, because we've wiped it. I'll post a pic this days, how does it look after couple of hours with rain )
E) ( it's still a small spot. Hopefully, we will be able to find & fix the culprit )
Thanks all in advance ...
