Hi,

Could someone point me in the right direction as to where i can find the level for the auto transmission level? is there a dipstick? and where do i put the fluid in.

Thanks chaps.

On the rear of the gear box sump is a cut out with a tube in the recessed section, this is the fluid level check/drain pipe, this a two section device, the lower section, the first part you undo is the level check section, with the fluid up to temperature (35/45C a quick spin round the block should get high enough? ) you undo this part and if fluid drips out then the level is ok, if it doesnt then top it up via the filler cap on the front top side of the gearbox, pull the retaining clip out and pop the cap off, top up the fluid till it drips out of the overflow spout
if your changeing the fluid then you need to remove the overflow tube from the gear box, done by sticking the correct sized Allen key up the spout and undoing it, with this off the majority of the fluid will drain out, if you want to a full fluid change? run it for a few days and repeat the above a couple of times to totally replenish it
I'm told in most cases you break the cap on the filler tube removeing it so a trip to the dealers is in order first to get a replacement

See the plastic thing to the center right of the picture sticking through from the top of the gearbox? thats the filler pipe

see the green pipe? thats the level/drain tube, so you now get the general idea of where the part are that you need access to
