Alcantara rear seat repair…

Hi folks. I’ve had my 19 plate Leon cupra for around a month. For the first time today i made the decision to take a small sofa home from a shop in town with the rear seats down and a sharp section of the sofa has pierced a small hole in the rear Alcantara seat! It’s only small but I’m devastated about it and as I know it’s there it’s going to bug me! Does anyone know if this would be easy to repair or if there are any company’s that repair Alcantara seats ? Thanks !

You’ve not posted a picture of the damage, but I’d say it should be possible for a good, reputable car seat trimmer and repairer to sort it for you. It may require the damaged section to be replaced.

If you Google ‘car seat trimmers and repairers’ you should find a selection in your area. Many of these companies undertake specialist upholstery work as part of classic car restorations so will be experienced in car seat repair work. They’re also likely to have pictures on their website of work they’ve carried out. Also check out reviews of any companies local to you, although bear in mind there’s always a risk that some of the reviews may not be genuine, so treat them with caution.
