I have a 54 cupra 180?

Does it have an alarm fitted as standard?

Yes mate it should do. It should have a flashing light on the drivers door where the door pin would go. It may also have a button on the RHS of the drivers footwell to disable the interior sensors.

You can test it bu leaving the windows down enough to get your arm in, arm the car (1 button press) leave it a few mins then wave your arms in the window - it should sound

Cheers.

Unless the cupra's different to the FR - you won't have a button in the footwell - the interior sensors are disabled by pressing the lock button twice ;)

Also don't one click the car with a person in it, misses had the shock of her life when she was sat there just breathing and the car alarm went off, I had a look on me face of... what did you do?

I believe that the internal sensors are location within the lighting console, and also there are is something intergrated into the top part of the door frame.

Also it auto locks after you hit around 10mph.

Oh and tell your passengers that they need to pull the internal door handle TWICE to get out, or your mate will be giving it back to you with a "sorry I've just wrenched your door handle off"

Why does yours not do/have these options?

Sometimes its not actived (sensors) when it comes over here, thats all.

If you have vag-com check on there and arm it, simple!

cheers for the reply guys, I only ask as the missus has a 1.2sx and it has the flashing led on the door although it has no alarm, mine has the same and as I saw no sensors thought it didn't have an alarm

The sensor is behind the interor light panel I believe, that little "air" type vent.

Yeah ,all models have the flashing LED indicator - it flashes whenever the double locking is engaged ;)

lock once and it deadlocks and sets the alarm
double locking turns off deadlocks and the alarm sensor in the car, for leaving a dog in the car etc
