Alana radio code

I recently replaced the battery on my 04 Ibiza and the Alana radio/CD playet now shows '1000' on the screen. Where should the code be?

I've found a 'radio card' sticker at the front of the Alana user manual which has 3 different codes but none of them are 4 digits.

I phoned my local Seat dealership and they want 40 quid plus VAT to plug it into a computer!

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem with my 2001 leon. I need the radio code & my dealer wants £25. Rip off i think. I have read that if you pull out the radio, it could be on the side maybe. Also read it could be on a sticker under the ashtray or in the glove box. They didnt work for me but you could try looking. Good luck

Thanks for the help, I've managed to do it.

The problem is that the Alana radio manual is wrong. It tells you to enter the code and then press and hold the "PTY" key. You actually need to press and hold the "SCAN" key to get it to accept the code.

It accepted one of the codes printed on the Radio Card in my Alana manual.

I hope GAC is right and the radio code is in the service book - I've recently bought an Ibiza but the Radio Card has been taken out of the Manual.

Just checked the service book and it's not in there. Does anyone know a sure way of getting the code other then the dealer? Dealer by me wants £48+VAT and I don't want to pay that much.
