Airbox vacuum hose

Hi all,
What does the vacuum hose to the airbox do on the pd140 lump,
I'm wondering if I can block it off when I change my intake

It's where the vacuum system takes air from or dumps it out.

2 things:

1 x leave it unblocked to prevent any issues
2 x unless you're running serious power you might as well leave your intake standard as it makes little, if any difference on a diesel.

Spend your money on a decent free flowing exhaust system (Decat) and a nice new panel filter instead

Thing is, I have everything made already, just a case of dropping it on, and the decat is next, cutting cat out and welding pipe in happy days, do the decats make much difference

This is the hose, .......in other news, my Sodding boost pipe is pissing out again :-( Grrrrr, don't know what to do about this damn thing now, can't afford to replace, so thinking now race wire around the intercooler, and the boost hose to hold together

Would self amalgamating tape be of any use to help hold it all together

Another guy on here did all of his hoses with it and said got results

I did all mine, I posted the pics up but it didn't hold, now it's got 2 hose clips, cable ties, sika flex and sa tape on it .....nailed it. Hitting 22.3psi max boost and dropping to a constant 17.5psi it's fantastic
