Yesterday my car warned that the airbag system didn’t work.
Anyone else?
The warning showed over the whole screen and when driving a little sybol in upper right corner.

Took it to the service shop and they will call on monday.

After restart number four it went away.

No, it was flashing over the whole screen that the airbag system was out of order. The small symbol remained when I started driving.

Owners manual state that the car should be taken to service right away.

We have had exactly the same issue (which has occurred on a couple of occasions). Our car was with the local Seat Dealer for a couple of days. At first, they could not find anything (there was no OBD logs of these alerts occurring). They then repeatedly started and ran the car for a short while. Out of the blue, it then did the same for them. Again, they checked the logs - nothing which meant there was nothing more they could do. They have assured us the airbag system is working fine and that this seems to be an anomalous alert. They've asked us to keep monitoring things.

Another gremlin in the software of the Mark 4.

My airbag warning light has just come on after 8 months of owning the car.
Is it still ok to drive it or should I take it in to the dealer.
Many thanks.

Had this happen to my MK8 Golf twice when i first got it, no longer get it. I assume a software update has fixed the issue

Hey guys my car today showed this- “preventive passenger protection is not available”. After that, car showed “airbag off” sign on dashboard and that one seat is occupant although i was driving alone. In first picture is written about preventive.. in second the fault signs..

Has anyone has had something the same?

car restarting didnt help at all- faults went back again…

Mine went away on its own in the golf

Take it into a seat dealer and ask them to check it out, a software update may fix it
