Does yours come on then go out again when you switch the car on?

It says it should in the handbook, but mine doesnt :( I wonder if theres a problem

yea mine used to before i had a little prang and set the bag off. now is constantly on which is more annoying than not having a light show up.

(if the airbags not working, thats a good thing its like a bomb going off in your face.) some would argue they need to be there. I dont

i can afford to be ignorant. i bet you wouldnt like that burn mark. might point exactly - i dont want to sound harsh but my airbag went off at 10mph and was wasted. so they are pointless

Yeh i suppose your right they are pointless when they potentially could save your life in accident.

So if you was doing 100mph instead of your 10mph would it have been pointless then? You could of always smashed your face on the steering wheel i bet that would have been extremally comfortable.

Did your mother ever not teach you to think before you speak?:ban:

completely agree.

as said, I burnt half my face which hurt like a (fill in the blank) however I still have all my teeth and am alive. If there was n't an airbag I bet the dash would have felt great...

think you need to rethink your statement..

ignorance is bless

anyway back to the topic, do your airbag lights come on when you switch on then go out after a few seconds?

Update: Just looked through previous MOT's on the web and it appears that the MOT in May 06 there was an advisory of that the airbag light stayed on. The guy I bought it off, bought the car in Oct 06.

So Im thinking that the light may have been taken out. Is this possible on mk3 dash's?

Possibly, remove the cluster and find out. Im not sure if the mk3`s have soldered in LEDS or an actual bulb, either way it could have been removed or blown.
