you'l need to get it turned out via a diagnostics kit that will also tell you where the fault is that caused the light to come on! would worry to much mate! are you playing around near the passenfer airbag wires

Or it could just be a faulty sensor. I had that happen with my old car on the first day. Except Uncle Arnold made me wait for 2 weeks while they sourced a replacement airbag for it, before realising the sensor was the problem and not the bag itself.

Just unplugging the connector behind the glove box will switch the light on... Its simply a 'fault' you must erase from VAG COM

PLEASE NOTE! Your airbags and Pretensiones will not work when the airbag light is on, if i remember correctly. So rather sooner than later!

Guinness, shame youre a bit far away but if youre ever in the doncaster area i can happily switch off your airbag light for you with vagcom on my laptop. I had the same problem and it was caused by my battery going flat. So just cleared fault code in vag com and viola it went off... its if it comes back on again when theres a problem. Dont let a stealer charge you silly money though, its literally a 2 minute job to clear the fault code.
