My A/C on my 2001 Cupra works fine on Lo which is cold and Hi which is hot...problem is that there is no in between.

Anyone else had this problem?

Cheers

No if I set it to low....it will be cold....if i then say put it on 22 it will still be cold.

If I then put it on HI then it will be really hot, and then if i put it on 22 it will stay hot!

Basically it's almost hot or cold but nothing in between!?!

i think all are the same - i only get hot on H1 - anything below that is just cold - pain really - if you hold down the AUTO button for approx 5 secs, you get sub functions as to say - where by you can have the "inbetween" temperature - but resets itself when you turn engine off so have to do it again

sounds like one of the heater flap motors is buggered or needs realignment

replaced a few - red or yellow comes to mind for some reason ??

Don't have this problem but my air con won't turn off sometimes no mater what I do unless I turn the fan totally off! That is annoying!

But not as bad as freezing or baking hot!

Expensive?

Thing is I don't really want to take it to SEAT and get charged £65 to tell me what is wrong! And I just don't have the time really!

On long trips this really gets annoying, especially in the winter as you boil, then you have to switch off....then you freeze...and it goes on!!!

Might have to try holding the auto button down, thanks for the tip!

Or try someone on here with VAGCOM first....I had a problem with a recirculation flap which was shown by a scan with VAGCOM...saved myself a few hundres pounds as VW want to take the dash out to do this job...I did it at home in a couple of hours
