air conditioning Compressor

Hi. I have had my Leon 1.9 TDI serviced today and have been told that the compressor on the air conditioning is going. It makes a rattling noise when the engine is around 1,500 rpm.

Does anyone know if these can be fixed? Or does it need replacing?

If so, then where can I go around Birmingham?

I'm having exactly the same problem with my Leon TDI SE. Did you find out what the problem was? I'd appreciate any advice. Cheers

If you can wait a week till this site reopens then I'd give them a try. When I was looking for a part for a Vectra it was miles cheaper than the dealers or any other factor I tried.
