air con

i've had my cupra R now for a few weeks and loving it, it's so smooth to drive ect ect, obviously had no probs with it apart from todeay, i think
it was minus 2 outside but i had just finished playing football and i wanted to put the air con on, to cool down and to stop the windows steaming up, but everytime i tried putting it on the symbol would come on for as long as i pressed the button in, then as soon as i let go it came off! i tried different settings but nothing worked? i thought maybe because it was so cold outside it might not come on? is this normal and has this happened to anyone else?

If it's under 5 degrees you can't have your aircon on buddy.All is explained in your manual I found this out a few weeks back when the same happened to me.

DamoR is right. When you see the snowflake sign along side the temp display on the dashboard this means that the air con will not work. Something to do with preventing damage to the air con unit apparently.

yes, thats what it is, doesnt work in those temps...i came across this by mistake in the manual!
