Hi
Does anyone have any experience of the clutch plate for the aircon compressor "falling off"? The car was in for a service recently and I asked them to have a quick look at the air con after it stopped working, and I was handed what appears to be the clutch plate from it
My question is can I simply refit the plate and (hopefully) have working air conditioning system again?
I can see where it's supposed to go - the splines and thread look ok, but I don't know what size nut to use (SEAT dealer will only sell me a complete compressor, not any of the bits) or how to hold the shaft when fitting it - I assume its accessed from under the engine bay?
Any advice / procedures much appreciated. Failing that can anyone recommend an air con specialist in the Central Scotland area?
