Hi All, having had the usual air-con compressor failurelast year, I bought a new one, whixh was installed a month or so ago. Not long after, notice that sometimes there wasn't any cold air coming out of the vents and the engine started to "hunt". Went back to the garage and they diagnosed that the compressor's clutch was stick when it got hot. Any one else had similar problems. system is fully gassed.

Also noticed on a previous service report that a pressure switch had an intermittent fault, anyone know if there is a pressure switch in the air-con system that might cause the above. Finally, sometimes the digital display flashes for 5 seconds or more when starting up, sometimes it comes on normally.

thanks

display flashing indicates fault in air con, usually low refrigerant.

Hi bmb,
Thanks, unfortunately that bit I know, which was why the compressor was changed in the first place. In my first post you'll note that I said the system is fully gassed. Have replaced the compressor again with a new one and seems to be ok at the moment.
