Air bag fault - 01222 help

struds

Guest
Vag Com has picked up a fault on my airbag - i knew it was there as the light was on...

so having used vag com i have this:

"1 fault found:
01222 - crash sensor side airbag (G180)

29-30 - short to ground - intermittent"

....................

so.... short to ground i thought would be under the seat as the wires looked to be touching and the sheath moved down a bit... so i taped these up reset the code... but the light came back after a week or so...

Any other ideas?

Where is the crash sensor for the side airbag??? - is it the door panel? or in the seat?

any help much appreciated!!!!!!
