Well, after getting some reasonable headway the cordie stopped wanting to start - no dash lights or anything
Basically the Scorpion aftermarket immo wasn't unsetting itself.
werid I thought - so dug out the manual. which was wrong. So I contacted Scorpion who emailled me the 'user' manual - NFG for working out why a car won't start.
So I found the installer one... just as useless really
anyway - a couple of weeks pass & I've got a few hours to myself so think about 'getting going' and fixing the fault, thinking that the spiders web of wires was going to cause me some serious issues
so after I spend 40 mins unravaling the insulation tape the monkey fitter had wrapped round the underdash wiring loom I see what's actually left
3 wires
snip snip snip, rejoin one - car starts
could have got the car started in about 2 mins if I wasn't trying to 'see' the problem
anyway - removed all the unit & it's wiring now. just need to tidy & insulate the connections
I'm mildly tempted to run some isolation switching to add some security (it already has the factory immo)....
worst bit is the chewed up trim where the touch key was located.
So.... aftermarket T2 immo's = bunch of arse. anyone with even slight intent, and a penknife can start your car......
