Aero Blades updated part no's

Hi just done this mod on mine and thought id update the part numbers (late mk4 golfs with aero blades) although id still check with local dealers.

S 1J2 955 425B wiper £8.13
S 1J2 955 426B wiper £7.98
1J2 955 409D arm £24.85
1J2 955 410D arm £24.86

total including VAT £75.68 at London South TPS (croydon)

Also i seen some people posting having trouble getting the old ones off - mine came off quite easily after being soaked in plus gas(penetrating fluid) the day before.

I didnt really buy them for aesthetics so here are the pics other than replacing my corroded original wiper arm that has gone all white after only 4 years and 60k.

Once the passenger blade is cut down they great and smear free!

why not go for the conversion kit from vw

Actually just a quick clean and it was back to silver again

I needed new arms as mine looked crap - covered in corrosion for some reason so new arms tidy'd that up.

Because they are just standard replacement aero blades that fix to the standard arms.
Aero wipers are totally different in looks and performance.

TBH Ive done the full conversion as well as I dont like the look of the retro fit baldes as the have a fat lump where they fit to the blade.
I wouldnt buy new tho, I got the arms via ukmkivs for £20, and the blades from a car parts shop for £20 for bosch ones.
takes a while to source the arms tho

Yeah i know they are dear but id depends what you want, for me its convenience and knowing there brand new.

You reckon a 22" on the drivers side and an 18" on the passenger side would work?

the drivers side is 21 and thats fine, but an 18 on the pass side may be better
