Aerial Frustration!!!!

Could somebody please tell me how to take the aerial off the mk3 Ibiza??? It's probably something really simple, but i've tried un-screwing it and it still stays attached but i can move it up and down.
Please could someone put me out of my misery, is surprising how frustrating a bloody aerial can be!!!!!!

Turn it so it's loose and then pull a lot harder than you would have thought you'd have to!

you need to unscrew it till it stops and then just pull it really hard while twisting it. Or at least thats how I got mine off and my new one on!

cheers. will have a go at doing that now. was worried of breaking it if i pulled really hard!

Just tried it, pulled really hard till the whole black mounting of the aerial was about to come off!!!! just isnt budging!! should i just keep on pullin it and forcing it off?

I don't think I had to pull that hard!!! Only other way is to take the roof lining off inside the car and take off the whole mounting point.

It 'should' just pull off though.....as said above, try twisting and pulling.

i put a small pick down the back of mine and popped it off like tht. didnt wana pull it any harder. when its loose just get a pick down the back of it and pull it at the same time
