Aerial change

Hi guys
This may sound stupid and be easly resolved but on my LCR i have sat nav and the standard aerial only unscrews so far before laying flat ready for car washes etc i was wondering how this is removed ready for the S2000 one to be installed

put one hand on the base
with the other give it a SHARP hard pull and it will come loose
reason it only unscrews so far is the anti-theft mechanism on it

i still carnt sharp hard pull my aerial off when its unscrewed all the way.

your not doing it hard enough then
thats the only way it will come out

Just curious. How does this mod affect the performance of the radio?

I don't believe it has no affect at all as the aerial will have a different impedance.

My reception was definitely no worse than the stock aerial after changing mine

what angle do you pull it off at?
horizontally? or at the angle that the arial is at?

i removed mine at the angle the aerial is usually at.
