I'm going to be getting a Samsung YP-K3 MP3 player in the near future (solely for use in the car) and i'm thinking of upgrading the standard head unit in my Leon Mk1 to a fairly high end Alpine head unit.
I know newer car stereo's come with "Ipod ready" leads or connections, but i simply don't want to be forced into buying an Ipod just because they are popular ad well advertised. So doe's anyone "in the know", know of any leads that will connect this beauty http://www.t3.co.uk/reviews/entertainment/mp3_player/samsung_yp-k3 to a decent head Unit (preferably Alpine) or will i have to make do with a FM transmitter with poorer sound quality?
If anyone can point me in the right direction without stating that i should i buy an Ipod i would be most gratefull.
Cheers

Your high end alpine unit will have an aux in....you simply buy a lead that takes a head phone jack and splits it into phono's, plug it in hide all the cables somewhere and have the headphone jack poking out somewhere so you can plug it in simply when you need to use it :)
