Hi so I’ve been looking at this 2020 Leon Cupra 290 lux in desire red that’s got 33k miles and 2 prev owners, it’s being advertised by a seat dealership as an approved used car meaning it comes with 24 months seat warranty etc etc, however after checking the service history it seems a little odd as shown below
I’ve asked the salesman about the mileage gap between 6-26k miles and I was told it’s due to the service plan being the flexible one, and that it’s serviced using lifelong oils which are good for upto 2 years or 20k miles, I just wanted some advice if wether or not this is ok as 20k miles without a service seems a lil crazy. Also are the buckets comfortable on longer journeys?
Cheers

It just means that if you're a high mileage / motorway user then you don't have the on board computer moaning that you need a service again after 10k and need to see the dealership so often, otherwise you'd get through the usual minor / major / minor service charge pattern much more frequently.

I was driving 20k per year before COVID and getting fed up of seeing the dealership twice a year and paying for a major service items to be replaced earlier than they needed to be just because I'd hit another 10k miles every six months. I got them to switch it to long life servicing to try and fix that as it was costing me a packet in servicing.

Some people think that long life servicing is the work of the devil as it's too long between intervals. I just kept on top of monitoring my oil levels etc more frequently and topping up as required.

Ah right so it’s not as bad as I thought then haha, just initially seeing the 20k gap kinda scared me lmao. Thanks for clearing that up, does that mean the on board computer is programmed to service every 20k miles instead of the 10? and would it be possible to change this
