Advice on buying Leon

Hi, I am looking to purchase a Leon as a second car for my wife and would be glad of any advice, i currently drive a Leon FR Tdi so know the basics, the car we are looking at is 2001 Y Seat Leon 1.4 16v S with 59,000miles,

Does anyone know if you get air conditioning on this spec?
Any known problems?
Does it drive relatively smoothly and does it have any pull?
Would the drive be lot smoother than FR/Cupra (Obviously has smaller wheels)?

The other car we have seen is 2000 W reg 39k miles 1.6 S, either engine more reliable or better to drive?

dont think they come with aircon - defo no climate

onlyh problem i remeber was leaking door seals
