Hi all,

I've been a member for a while when i owned a mk4 ibiza cupra a few years back. I've had other cars since but I'm going to look at a 2009 leon fr 2.0tdi tomorrow.

I've been reading on the net about problems with the dpf and injectors on these models which is putting me off a little.

With it being a 2009 model, would these issues have been revised with later models because ive noticed these probems have occured right from the start.

Just looking for a bit of advice really and also if theres anything else i should look out for.

Depends wether it's the facelift model or not. If it has the CR engine then usually DPF isn't an issue due to the engine actually works with it however if its the older PD engine then alot of people have had issues.

you can get PD 09's and no they never fixed it with revisions, even the replaced injectors have been known to fail but at least the work is free

it was first registered in april 09 so it is the pd engine.

it has full seat service history, cambelt has just been changed and its up for £8250. does this seem reasonable?

I have a 2009 Facelift FR with 44,000 on it mind.

To be honest, DPF issues I wouldn't worry about, You know you'll have it gutted and remapped anyway ;)
