on the leon its a similar job, mine had an unhealthy click before it took up the slack, tightened to 2 clicks and no more noises, you need to equally tighten both sides of the cables.
again, not sure about the ibiza, but on the leon there is a few screws on the middle console behind the actual handbrake on the sides towards the carpet.
adjusted it now had to remove rear cup holder then two screw in there to lift the plastic surround up a but to get in to adjust it, very fiddily but after tightening it too much (brakes stayed on!) its fine now.
iv read elsewhere and from the reply above that puttin your foot on the brake then lifting the handbrake adjusts it, but how can this be surely by now everyone handbrake would be really tight, i put my foot on footbrake then use the handbrake everyday nearly??
