Adjustable Steering Weight?

Hi Guys,

I have a 2008 1.9TDi Stylance and I read on here that through the dealer or VAG.com the weight of the steering could be adjusted.

So, I reckon when it's in for it's first service, I may ask them to do this.

I had a Focus Zetec and you coud manually adjust this from 'comfort' (light) thru 'normal' to 'sport' (nice heavy controlled feel)

Anyhow, I read, I think, on here that there is 6 settings from light to heavy.

Does anyone know what the factory setting is so as you can determine how high up the 1-6 range to go? and any advice on 'feel' would be appreciated

Check out Dan's VAG.COM Guide for the correct module settings. As for 'feel' I am not sure as I haven't done the change to my car yet.

Thanks for the reply Alex, I only ask about feel 'cause when I adjusted the Focus, the difference was amazing in the cornering feel and confidence!!

It felt like I'd just widened the track by about 2foot and put 20" wide rims on it!!!

No, seriously, the difference as well worth it, felt like a different car, I'll check out the link.
