Additional Gauges

Patchy

I'm looking at getting three additional gauges for my 2005 Leon FR.

When looking at the gauges i noticed you can get Electrical or Mechanical.

Basiclt i don't have a clue what to go for and was wondering if anybody can help me out here.

Can i choose either and if so what one is best or is it a case of my car needs electrical or mechanical?

???

I think it only matters with gauges involving oil. The way I understood it a mechanical oil temp gauge will read the oil temperature in the gauge itself...imagine if you got a leak.

Go for electric if possible iirc
