Will this still look ok in your opinion?

I have 15 inch alloys, they came with the car..

I wouldn't mind 17s but I am not keen on lowering the car...mainly due to insurance and other costs.

Plus, I live in the city and there are speed bumps everywhere.

Does anyone have any pics with the car on 17s, and not lowered?

Interesting, any pics?

If the car isnt lowered can you get away comfortably with 18s?

Mines on 17's, i think it looks good, fills the arches nice, im not sure about rubbing with tyres tho, ive got 40 profiles on mine but was thinking of getting 45's to help with road noise abit.

I've got 17" alloys on my car and I hated it at standard ride height! Here are some pics before and after I fitted coilovers

I also think that 17" wheels suit Ibizas with facelift bumpers as the bumpers are deeper. 16" wheels suit Ibizas with pre-facelift bumpers as the bumpers are smaller.

45 profile tyres won't help with road noise. My 45 profile tyres on my 16" wheels create more road noise than my 40 profile Toyos fitted to my 17" wheels

For some reason your car looks really high as standard. Obv I have a Cupra, but its nowhere near as high as yours.

45 profile tyres of the same make and compound will be better than 40 profile. Can't comapre across brands/compounds though

Yep Cupras have the lowest standard suspension, FRs are slightly higher and Sports are ridiculously high! Fabia vRSs are really high too, obv the 17" wheels don't help.

got 17s on mine without lowering, looks a little high but its fine for me as i dont want too lower anyway:)

had 45 profile tyres which filled the arches up nicely but the fronts kept rubbing so had to go with 40s,since i did that though i discovered my 2 front springs were broke and had 1 less coil on each side so the 45s might have been ok after all now that i have new springs too raise it a bit:whistle:

I would do quite a lot of driving, 30 miles round trip to work every day and 70 on the weekends roughly.

hmm.

ive got 205/40/17 and to be fair the ride is a little noisey and you have to go slower over bumps but its rides ok and theres a little more grip form the wider tyres.
