tried resetting ecu earlier, left battery off for 10 mins but when reconnected the radio worked fine (didnt ask for a code) and primed ignition and got a buzzing (thought it was the TB re alligning) but it went on for at least 20 mins till i figured it might be the water pump and started her up. once warm gave her sum welly and it boosted fine.... for about 3 mins then reerted back down to 6 again... did i actually reset anything?

nope, theres another thread in this section called "fitted mew maf but..." that explains in detail, any help would be appreciated!

If it reset everything how comes i didnt need a radio code?

because the radio isnt removeable so theres no point in a code, nobody's gonna nick it!

the 17965 - Charge Pressure Control: Positive Deviation fault means your car is overboosting, ie your actual boost is exceeding your requested boost. Maybe a faulty n75 valve?

I believe that the only way to realign the throttle body is with vagcom, the noise you hear when reconnecting the battery whilst the drivers door and bonnet are open does come from the TB but it isn't realigning.
I've read many posts on different forums backing this up.

try logging your n75 duty cycle. log block 118 on vag-com, also log block 115 , tells you your requested and actual boost. Do a run in 3rd gear from about 2000revs to redline

When i bought a new MAF off some joker company on eBay, it sent the car straight into limp with a "positive deviation" error.
