I can’t see from your first picture where on the screen the damage is. If it is just inside zone A, then I think the maximum permissible damage in zone A for MOT purposes is 10mm. Driving / cornering is likely to put a certain amount of stress on the windscreen, so any small area of damage that’s not attended to could quite quickly develop into more significant damage and may spread. Similarly, cold, frosty weather might also cause the damage to develop into a crack and spread. Many years ago I picked up a stone chip in my windscreen and after driving a few miles further down the road, that chip developed into a large crack when I went round a roundabout!
Therefore, IMO it’s worth getting it repaired or the screen replaced (if it can’t be repaired) if your MOT is due soon. Hopefully it’s repairable, it which case it’ll cost you just the amount of the excess for glass repairs (usually no more than £25) under your insurance policy. Claiming on your insurance for glass repair / replacement won’t affect your no claims discount.
Looking at your second picture I’ve had similar sized damage repaired, although I think that if the damage is within a certain distance of the edge of the screen it might be considered as unrepairable. After mine was repaired, the car passed the MOT with no issues / no advisories.
