Right then, ive noticed something very strange recently ever since i de-snowscreened and added a PD160 intake; not a problem, merely a strange observation:
When in Gear, Clutch disengaged, at idle:
The slightest touch of the acc pedal makes the car instantly rev to 1200 with a noticable flex of the chassis from the engine - feels very spirited indeed and quite addictive in traffic when stopped
When In Neutral:
Touch the pedal to the same degree and it basically does nothing, revs about 50rpm gently and is very laggy.
I dont know about neutral and clutch, ill try that later!
What do you guys think this could be? Could there be so much transmission loss in neutral gear to stop it revving so quick (even after the A/C, Flywheel, Cambelt, Alternator etc.)? Or could it be someting to do with the ECU's attitude to the 'go' pedal (after all; in neutral your not gonna go anywhere!)
Just a little curious really!
