Accelerator Pedal.

Hi all,

last Christmas, within a couple of days of having a service (probably about 80k) the accelerator pedal stopped working on the motorway - lost engine power, it sat at 1200 rpm, would work for a couple of mins after turning the engine off then go wrong again.
With the help of the AA and Leon's safe mode (1200rpm+driving on the clutch) I managed to limp the 20 miles to the nearest Seat Garage where they replaced the pedal and all was happiness and light again.

Unfortunately, I had exactly the same symptoms happen today, curiously only a couple of days after the 120k service, although it was a different garage this time.

Anyone else had this, or possibly see any link between the servicing and the accelerator pedal?

No modifications at all; I was curious if it was something to do with it being a dodgy import - possibly the service tests were designed for UK vehicles. Replacing the throttle sender fixed it last time, but I can't see them testing that!

Annoyingly, I managed to drive 45miles to Amythest without a problem today, and back again. Until the problem shows itself, they can't do anything - at least the part has a 2 year warrenty on it.
