With the new version of Vagcom you can measure 0-60, 0-100 30-70, 1/4 mile, blah blah,

How accurate is it? and How does it know how far you are traveling???

the times it was coming up with were say 7.2 +/- 0.69,

Does that mean it could be 0.69 below or above 7.2 secs?

I also have a GTec Pro RR , once you have setup the rpm scaling and the CORRECT vehicle weight (including yourself!!!) the system works off 3 electronic sensors.
I have had to do at least 5 runs and then average out the results, it should be within 1/2sec - hope this helps

Distance is calculated from rotations of the front wheels so if you wheelspin then the 1/4mile time won't be particularly accurate. The acceleration figures shouldn't be that far off though as already discussed.
