AC dryer location

I going to change my ac compresor, and with that you should change the drier unit. Ive had a quick follow of the pipes, but cant seem to find it. Any one know where it is?

Something rings a bell here(!?!) is it not slotted into/mounted in the side of the radiator - is there not a round bit on the top of the grill or on top of the lockplate and its under that?

Normally they hide under a wheel arch, but I think that it is elsewhere on the Polo/Ibiza - maybe you will need to buy one and consider where it could be when you see it - or keep on following the pipes around!

I had another look tonight, and my conclusion is that it must be inside the ac radiator. Theres nowhere else for it to be... Ill have a look at it again tomorow to see if I can find it - but it might be a bumper off job. When I take it to get the gas removed ill ask the mechanic then. He should know.

RH of the condenser itself, if you look at that end there is a cylinder welded to the end of the condenser, the drier is fitted down inside that bit

might be the exact one but #33 is pretty much what you need to be looking for

you were halfway there yaself but you can make it a wee tot if you like
