well hopefully you do lol.

Just drove into Tesco car park (as you do) when i quick ticking sound hapened and when i tried to put my foot on the break i only had minimal breaking, a resistance pressing the peddle up (this was vibrating to the ticking) and the ABS,TCS, and (!) came up!. So obviously i used the handbracke to stop, all the lights went off and so did the noise.

Not the first time it has happened but i cant seem to get to the bottom of it as it only lasts about 5 secs.

TA!

hi did you ever find out wat it was? because the light only seems to come on when boot it then goes off shortly after but i constantly get that "tickling" sort of thing when i brake i suspect new brake disks as they are quite worn and maybe a dirty abs sensor or loose connection is bringing up light?

read it for codes; only way to know. ANd even then it can be a real bitch to sort out. I've tried cleaning connector, sensor, rewired the sensor and still getting permanent code; although now abs doesn't randomly kick in anymore.

brakes being worn shouldn't make abs kick in though. check wire for wearing against tire for instance

Definitly, mine did the same, got caught on the driveshaft and ripped clean off eventualy! Had to make up a new bit of wiring to reattach it!

Should be fine now??

il have to have a proper look on saturday and try and sort it out, but it only seems to be on rough ground or a bump were it almost feels like it rubbing or grinding which can be felt through the peddle?
