Has anyone looked into having the ABS remapped on an Ibiza? I had to get this done on the Panda so it worked with my Wilwood callipers but also has the max deceleration points that triggered the ABS moved so will let you go to partial lock-up, it allows up to 2.25g deceleration of the wheel before the ABS kicks in.

My Panda :)whistle:) uses a fully integrated Bosch system. From what I understand this is a complete kit which Bosch supply going from engine ECU all the way through to ABS/TCS/ESP sensors, etc & the only thing that's different between the marks using this kit are the calliper carriers.

I'd assume that all ABS system can be remapped, I can't imagine using a different ECU for say a Cupra & FR but the difference in discs & callipers would mean their control maps would have to be different. I'm sure it'd be a case of how easy or hard it is.

not sure how it's mapped software wise but the ecu/control section of the abs pump itself controls solenoids inside itself and although the lower hydraulic solenoid part is pretty standard the upper brain section is one of many many variations and part numbers and abs/tcs/ecs options along the way

in fact my 98 ibiza one is made up from an 05 skoda lower part and an 03 toledo eco at present

Seems like a lot of investigation & thought will be needed to work out if this is possible. Thanks for the info :)
