Abs problem

Hi guys been reading a good few posts about ppl having problems whit there ABS light coming on aswell as there TCS light?? Am having the same problem started on Tuesday morning when i went to the shop on my break, i seen the ABS and TCS light come on??

I have heard a grinding noise in the past when av been breaking hard but nothing has poped up??

Checked all fuses in the car and on top of the battray, Dont know what else to check guys any ideas would be really helpful

LAst week i have had the exact same problem. Light came on for no reason at all! Then just before the abs & tcs lights went off i heard the same grinding sound. Lights are now firmly back on. Very weird, going to try and VAG com it to see the fault codes, or it could be a dirty sensor and the abs pump has kicked the bucket

that's your abs doing what it should do then at that point at least

probably felt it on the pedal too

probably a dirty sensor or broken/damaged abs ring
or even a dogey wire

Yeh i coulld feel it through the pedal, but this was only under very light braking(coming up to a set of lights), did this twice and the lights went off, but now its given up the ghoast!

mine did the same sprayed brake cleaner on the sensor and rubbed it down and then put it back in and it cleared it, it came back so replaced the sensor and no problems

UPDATE

When i start my car the ABS light stays on and the TCS is off, After about 30 seconds or so driving the ABS light go's out and after 5mins i hear a lil grinding noise and the brake pedel feels really stiff and makes a louder grinding noise when i brake lightly plus the brakes feels **** ie. Does not stop well lol

Then after about 30 seconds both the ABS and TCS light pops up and the brakes are perfect??

I had the very same problem.... It was a abs sensor. Had it replaced. Now perfect

UPDATE

Well cleand both front brake sensors today they where pretty dirty, after i put every thing back and drove about 5 or so miles the ABS and TCS light still remaind on then the hand brake light came on and started bleeping for about 20 seconds then stoped but hand brake light still keeps flashing???

have you checked your brake fluid ? mine bleeped at me yesterday turned out to be low fluid caused by worn out front pads

Well saying at mate both front pads are really worn!! Do u thing this could cause the abs light to come on??

might do ,i would check the sensor they get filthy that sometimes causes it and check the wires these break and cause a fault code, quite common faults really
