Hi,

On my GTi 8v I have the ABS light on. When I bought it the battery was completly dead and was probably like that for quite a while. Could that of caused the light to come on or would it just be a fault?

Thanks

if you can plug in to vag com it to find out which one will help narrow it down

most common seems to be the rears where it runs by the exhaust and into the floor under the rear seat

agree on the rears.. usually one of them .. hopefully just 'crap' lodged in there jetwash may sort it.. brake could also be locked?? i would have thought the last owner would have stamped on the brakes pretty damn hard if he/she saw a 'bike heading for the bonnet

Got the same problem. My abs light comes on every so often AND also my handbrake light comes on sometimes too when handbrake is not applied (has been for a while now). But this is still happenin despite just having new back brakes fitted couple of weeks ago!! Just assumin its a sensor problem too
