After slagging off the Mk2 Leon when the first pictures were released, I have turned a complete 180 degrees and am now on the verge of placing an order for a 2.0 FR TDi with 18" wheels in the best :)p) colour on a Leon - Yellow of course!!

I've never had a brand new car befor so it's all very exciting!!!

Heard lots of good things about this car and it may be a drop in power but I'm sure the fuel consumption figures will make up for it. A remapped 20VT Mark 1 can be a thirsty beast!!!

I CAN'T WAIT!!! :) :) :)

Hi Silverfox

Your story is just like mine. First new car for me also and much better than my SAAB 93 2.0t.

Great taste as well - I also have the crono FR TDI with 18", get an armest, alu trim and muddies - nice.....!

PS - fuel economy is mint

Booting it around gets 35mpg

Steady 200 mile roundtrip to MIRA Seat trackday yesterday returned 47.8mpg.

Well, I've gone and done it! Placed my order today.

Thanks must go to Irfan at M1 Autos for intercepting my order and saving me the best part of a grand on what was already a reasonable deal! Cheers mate, glad you spotted my post!!

I'm gonna have to travel the whole length of the UK to collect the car but lets just call it an extended test drive! :D

See you in a couple of weeks hopefully Irfan.

I'm also on the verge of ordering a FR TDI. A local dealer has offered me a basic FR TDI for £16,000 and £10,000 for my 2 year old Mini Cooper.

Does that sound like a good deal?

Will probably go for a Red or Crono car with airbag disabler and Bluetooth.

You will want 18" wheels too as the 17s are:banned:

Ask Irfan whose id is M1Autos. He seems to be giving the best prices just now.

I got mine from seat autoworld sheffield as well. Great value, first class service and aftersales help has been great (dash rattle, replacement scratched window, dpf issue and replacement rear door trim)......(for now).

Irfan is a great chap also (met him at seat track day)
