Firstly don't laugh.....

I've just got a mp3 HD changer thing for my LC, and I wanted to reclaim my glove box.

So I turned the mounting brackets upside down and drilled two smallish hole in the bottom of the dash on the passenger side. Then......

......all unholy hell broke loose. Behind the foam liner thing was some plastic. Some plastic that was an integral part of the air con system, thereby flooding the car with refrigerant gas.

It's all cleaned up now, but obviously the air con isn't working. It's showing low gas pressure on Vagcom (there's a surprise), anyone got any ideas on how to fix it - Cheaper the better (I've tried looking at ETOS and I can't even make out what I've drilled into.

Might just stick some screws in and hope that it plugs up the holes......

Don't bodge it - get it done properly, or you'll put more gas in and it'll leak, and u'll end up paying more money out to get it done right.

fill it with laughing gas instead, cheaper and the car will always put a smile on your face!!

Quality lol.

When it comes to aircon, alway do it properly as it will end up being a big burden and will tend to fail when its stupidly hot.
Instead of drilling you could have used velcro instead.

Funny you should say that, but velcro was what I was going to use, had I not left it in my desk at work.

Not sure about filling it full of NoS though.......
