Drving along at lunch time and a nice yellow warning light starts flashing at me, Excess Pollution. Firstly what the hell does that mean?
Anyway the car started to run really roughly so i pulled it over to the side and had a look under the bonnet. yep thats an engine i thought - i couldnt see any obvious problems so decided to try and limp the car home.
Now at this point i ought to point out that i live next door to my gf's uncles garage/workshop so i took it straight round there and got him to have a look at it. 5 minutes later i was told that it was misfiring and they had the spark plugs out and was ordering a new set because they looked really crappy.
the new set hasnt fixed the problem so its a coil pack now.
collecting it on my way home from work so lets see if that sorts it out.
i have to say though - why do service schedules leave the spark plugs in for so long? ive had 2 cars start running crappy because the plugs were knackered before they were due to be changed.
anyway 1 replacement coil pack and counting....
