a few upgrades - what do you think?

I am looking to improve the all round running of my car (FR TDI) so thinking about a few upgrades:

1. Milltek Cat-Back System - Resonated with Twin Jet Tailpipes (not sure about a full-system?)

2. Eibach Pro-Kit Springs

3. Green Replacement Air Filter

4. PD160 Air intake

Total Cost: £570 (not fitted) waiting on price for fitment.

This is about as much as I want to do to the car - although I had also looked at an MTM remap but don't think I will bother.

Any comments conthis combination of upgrades appreciated.

the cat back system will give it a better moving noise! if you want to lower the car for looks and handling get coilovers and spacers mucho better! green pannel filter and cupra intake is a good mod smooth the airbox and enlarge the inlet for better airflow.

a remap will really improve the power of your tdi! 180bhp iirc! go custom-code as it boasts its the smoothest map and is tdi clutch friendly!

Another option to having the Milltek is to do a mufflerectomy (do a search for "mufflerectomy"), prob only cost around £100 - quite a few have done it to pretty good effect.

Don`t you get bored of posting that daily? The map has got nothing to do with how long the clutch will last it`s down to how the person drives their car. Revo dealers can alter the map to be just like CC if thats what the buyer wants and there are loads of companies selling maps just as smooth as CC.

Hi,
I put a pd160 intake and green air filter in my car anfd with a bit of modding to plastics around i got my car to 145bhp before the re-map i recommend just doing that and having a re-map much better money spent i'm now booked in for a milltek non-res twin jet and should have my 312mm brakes in the next week or two then i'm going to think about handling but for the time being i just put front and rear strut braces on the car and does help a bit when your really going fast lol

p.s i know re-map is a personal opinion thing but jabba were great and the power elivery is really smooth so i reccomend them :)

sorry for trying to fill every1 with info! just trying to help!

And where did you get this "info" from? JBS/CC headquarters maybe? Believe what you want but have you ever heard the saying "Don`t believe the hype" There is nothing wrong with the diesel generic maps JBS/CC bought in but they are no better and no worse then most other maps on the market for a stock car.

Forgot to mention.

One thing that definitely should be near the top of your mod list is a 312mm brake upgrade. It will transform the braking of your car and give you soooo much more confidence in it.

Ok thanks for the advice guys - Think I will add the 312mm brake conversion to the list and possibly the wheel spacers.

The Coilover suspension kit I agree is better and lower - but its too expensive. The eibach springs will do a decent job cut price.

So its now:

1. Milltek Cat-Back System - Resonated with Twin Jet Tailpipes

2. Eibach Pro-Kit Springs

3. Green Replacement Air Filter

4. PD160 Air intake

5. 312mm Brake conversion (depends on price?)

6. Wheel Spacers.
