Hi there, I'm new to the forum however I've been snooping around unregistered for a while now. I've used search a lot to find some answers I'm looking for but I can't seem to find them

Any help would be great!

First of all... I don't have a CD multichanger in the back, and I'm looking at some Sony CDX-T69 ones on ebay. Only problem is, I don't know where it plugs into. I've looked behind the carpet behind the left wheel arch for the lead, but can't seem to find anything :( Unless I'm looking in the wrong place..??

Another problem I have is I think my cigarette lighter is too small for anything!! Please bear in mind that I don't know very much at all about cars, but when I tried to use my friend's ipod charger, it seemed to be too big for the socket. Also my friends lighters won't fit in it either. Is there a way to solve this??

Lastly.. Is it possible at all to fit an after-market air filter to my car, it's a 2001 Mk3 Ibiza S. It looks like the current air filter is a solid rectangular pipe so I have no idea how one of the cone mesh type ones would be installed :headhurt:

Sorry for the essay!!

the feed for the cd changer has to be in the boot on the left hand side, right close to the opening of the boot. Just remove the side wall carpet a bit and you'll see it (or at least where it was supposed to be if the previous owner removed it?)

cigarette lighter in my seat is also smaller than my previous cars. However I am sure ebay or other locations sell adapters that will convert so that equipment will fit, but wait for someone who actually uses it to advise you more.

As for the filter, I have absolutely no idea what you mean with a solid rectangular pipe..?? Never heard of that. SHould be a round exit...
so either have a better look or post a picture so we can give you better help.

If you don;t know how to post pictures, log into www.photobucket.com, and upload your picture there. Then use the last link by the picture and paste that in a thread here and picture will show. (although I think you need at least 10 posts before you can place a picture, but you can find that in the info for new members..)

welcome by the way

Thanks for the info guys!!

I've tried looking for the lead but I can't seem to find it. It has to be there... Well I hope it is. Does anyone have any pics of where abouts theirs is? Or can give a very accurate description?

If it turns out I don't have the lead, how much would one be to buy for a Sony Changer?

Oh I give up looking for the lead, and having a changer. I wanted to to have some high quality audio as I don't think my ipod via cassette sounds that good

Thanks for the help, I'll look into the cigarette lighter problem a bit more.

If you want high quality audio then why not get this. Then you can use your iPod. And not have the hassel or expense of a new CD Changer and lead.

It's a great piece of kit. I have one and am well chuffed with it. Thinks theres more info if you search for xcarlink.
