Well, after 6 hours of 1.2 ownership i'm starting to think that i may need an air filter upgrade ..... would you say that a replacement filter like a green or k&n would be better than a full induction kit?
I know the panel would be far cheaper and easier but does it really make that much of a difference in the performance stakes?

nuts. found this really cool/sad thing in my demon Tweeks catalogue tho, it's a dump valve speaker thing, you install it under you bonnet and it makes that vrrooooooooooooom TSHHHHHHHHH noise when you change gear, its about 50 quid lol, but i think that's too sad even for me

cheers for the advice, you've saved me a few ££££ can all go towards the 'get the windows tinted' fund cant it!

When i had my 1.2 i stuck on a Pipercross cone filter on it and i didnt really notice any difference in power although it made a nice noise lol. When i came to sell the car i put the original airbox back on and it drove a lot smoother than with the air filter  ...so i would say its not worth it!

Rash mate if i could a) afford an FR and b) get insurance that i could afford, i'd defo be there and possibly with the cupra, saw 1 today in birmingham and it looked mint, but i'm gonna have to make do at the mo..... Bugger!
