A.b.s Light On Permanent

can anyone put any light on this.
it is leon cupra year 2001.

a.b.s. used to come on sometimes with the warning light below it.
it also used to go off when you say got to 5/10 mph and stay off but was on with car stood still with engine running.

now it won,t go off at all

One quick check - make sure the break fluid cap is on tight.

My mk2 ibiza did this, tightened the cap and it was fine after

Did tightening the cap do it for you?

I have had both the TCS and ABS light lit up since the snowy weather we had some months ago!

SEAT Dealer near me hooked it up to the computer and said there was nothing wrong with it! 2 Mins and NO miles later it was back on! (They didn't charge the £66 though!)

V V V Annoying!?

Any other suggestions i am willing to listen/try!?

(I have tried the following: Topping Up Fluid Level, Cleaning Brakes and Thrashing it then slamming on!)

ı had my abs lıght come on 2 months ago wıth a foult code that showıng the pump has an intermittent fault i checked sensor everything was ok then i unplugged and plugged some wires around abs pump and the problem soved after 2 weeks with abs light coming on ....since that day everything seems ok with tcs abs system

I have had my Seat into the dealer and they also said to me that there was a fault code showıng the pump had an intermittent fault.

Both the TCS and ABS lights are on permanently.

What wires have you checked around the ABS system? (A picture with arrows would be nice?)

and have the lights now gone off on your dash?

It must be an easy problem to solve this - come on all you clever people out there!?
(Not technically minded as i only found out where the MAF was last week - but still dont know what it does!)

it is a chance that i lived can be a little corresion on the wires or the electric units failed totaly .... there is an electrical control unit on the pump mostlt that part failed at those times i checked if it can be repaired and in uk there are ,places that repairng it i m living in turkey here that pars is nearly 1200 dollars.

Now What Has Come On Is The Brake Level Light As Well.

Checked Fluid & Topped Up But Still The Same.

Could The Cap Be At Fault???????????

have the same problem on my 2001 ibiza cupra.
all 3 lights r on! any ideas what it is.
the brake pedal went total hard today and was makin a funny noise after a bit it clears and is ok to drive but lights r still on.

Just had the problem solved by Midland VW. Apparently the brake noise / judder is due to a faulty ABS sensor. Cost about £40 to solve. Brakes are fine now

dirty sensors are normally the culprit. One on each wheel i think
