searched the forum - but older posts... so things might have changed?

When I bought the car I asked the chap with it being a fsi 2.0 will it need 98+ fuel..
He said just "once every 4 times you fill up".

However - noticed on the fuel cap it states to use it all the time.

Searched the forum - (threads from years ago) - state it doesn't make a difference... then some says it does.

It's an 2005 plate. What's best for it ?

There's no F in Quality..
The 'best' will be the 98+ RON stuff, as that's what the timing will be set for, hence why it states it on the filler cap.

When I had my LCR I only ever used Shell V-Power, which did have a noticeable difference to standard unleaded in terms of performance, and V-Power is 'kinder' on the internals to.....

Tried the 98 early on and then 95 - didn't find any difference in performance or economy over about 3k miles on each so for the last 40k miles or so have used only the 95. So far so good........ at about 6p/litre difference and getting about 7 miles per litre this has saved £350 ish towards the potential engine problems.

This debate always makes me wonder what i should use, i run my K1 on 95ron have tried 97ron but can never tell the difference in performance or mpg, and it was the same on my last car a mark 5 Golg GTI.
I'm gonna stick with 95ron as the price difference really anoys me.
