Hi

As a potential new owner of a Seat i've been looking at an Alhambra TDi S (1999) which i've discovered is available with a 90 and 110BHP engine.

Trouble is i don't know which one it is and as the owner claims it's not on the reg doc i was wondering what where the other ways of finding out. I.e does the engine code help out and if so what should it be.

Have already searched this forum but it didn't turn up much that i could really say helped. If anyone can help i'd be very grateful, thanks

Go to www.eurocarparts.com

Then, in the bit where you can select your vehicle type, enter the reg.

Once it processes this and brings up the details of the car concerned, click on one of the parts menus and it should then give you the engine code as part of its description of the vehicle.

You can then look this code up on the net to find out which bhp it is. :)

On the Mk1 Leon, the 90bhp engines have the trim level 'S'

Whereas the 110bhp engines have trim levels 'SE' and 'SX'

This will most probably be the same for the alhambra too? Also check out www.parkers.co.uk it gives all the engine info for pretty much any car!

In 1999 the TDI badge on the back of the car would be all silver for 90bhp and have a red "I" for 110 bhp. Both engines are non-PD.
