I'll second Jabba. I took my Leon there for a remap the other day and was impressed and intend to let them service my car too. When I was in there was a guy there who had driven from York for a service, which I guess is a reasonable recommendation. They are at Crowland and have a waiting area with a sofa, TV, DVDs, X Box etc which is quite cool.

Hi mate

Just thought I'd mention that I have just had a 4 yr 40k service plus cam belt and water pump at my local garage.

The total price for everything was £560. Ball park that broke down to £200 for the service, £300 for the cambelt and waterpump (parts alone were about £160) and £50 for the MOT.

Although it sounds alot but broken down I thought that this was a good price. It was a bit of a leap of faith as Stoneacre in Peterborough had serviced the car up until then. They did stitch me up a bit with the MOT last year so decided to move on.

I've heard about Jabba at Crowland and although I've heard good stuff on here, a mate turned me off them a bit as he knew the bloke professionally. All he could say was that 'he wouldn't take his car there'.

I use St Ives Motors in St Ives town centre and they have looked after my Honda for a while and the 306. The seat was a bit of a leap of faith - don't know why - mental block main dealer. But I have always been very happy with them and they did fit the mods on it last year (SACHS clutch, neuspeed ARBS, Milltek exhaust, poly bushes...) This lot was £330 for the fitting.

Would be interested to find out how you get on at Crowland including the price.

id be very happy to reccomend jabbasport. my car has been to several garages since conversion and everyone has commented on the quality of workmanship they have done. friendly lot and they know there stuff.

however... ive found emailing less than productive, but with the exception of bill at badger 5.. ive found that with most. having said that ringing them up in person and there very willing and helpful.

coffee though... it should be free. takes ages of nagging before im bought a cup:)

As per their webby its £500.

Stoneacre quoted £575 and when i told them about Jabbas price they came back at £475 with no hesitation. I just hought To**ers, they drop their price by £100 stright away, why not be cometative from the off so im not using them. Also, they have no cars to look at and im not hanging around there all afternoon when i could be playng xbox at Jabba!

Ill post back and let you know how it goes!.
