5th gear

Quick question, had the car now for 4 months and on a couple of occasions, struggled to get it into 5th gear, put it back to 4th then ok next time I tried it. Any ideas or is it just me being paranoid. Car is FR TDi 2006 4500miles on clock.

Yep 6th gear ok, but dont use it too much

3 year old mota with only 4.5k on it!! Barely run in

With such a low mileage hope the previous owner wasn't an old duffer who couldn't co-ordinate clutch/gearchanges Seriously though it shouldn't be like that....the gearchange on my FR TDI is very good and certainly no issues changing up from 4th/5th and down from 6th/5th. BTW if you rarely use 6th gear are you sure you bought the right car?

Previous just used the car to run back and forward to work, so low milage. I have booked the car in to get looked at as its still under warrenty so hopefully it will get sorted out, see what they come up with,as for 6th gear, do use it when I need to .
